Winemaker’s Notes
Our Rachis® Syrah is the fraternal twin to our Tall Tales Syrah. Both have their feet in the basalt, but never can two brothers be so different. The bigger, bolder, more fruit forward flavors of this wine show the breadth of character that Syrah can have. The terroir of the wind ravaged Syrah vines in the shallow soils of the Lickskillet very rocky loam is evident in the abundance of fine grain tannin and bright acidity. This is another strong vineyard designate showing from our Southwind Vineyard Estate.
